You may or may not know I had a brief stint as a seller of handmade bibs, blankets, and burp cloths. It was the wrong time in life for owning an online shop. Plus, as it turns out, I don’t like making that stuff in bulk for strangers as much as I like sewing things for babies & moms I know.
At home, I use all my own bibs because handmade seems more durable to me than those teeny-tiny packs you get at Babies R Us. #BibSnob
Sometimes often, we just don’t use bibs. I figure, you have to wash their clothes anyway, why create one more thing to wash!?
BUT, recently, Toppy Toddler sent me their new waterproof bibs and asked me to review them. Um, sure. How about while Emma learns to use a spoon with yogurt… that’ll put them to the test. #Mwahahaha
I have to say, I’m a fan. Apparently Addie is too, because she asks to wear one every day. I think it’s because she figured out the snaps 🙂
- easy to wash by hand and hang dry before next meal
- still machine washable
- easy to snap
- BIG!!!!! (this was one thing I always liked about handmade bibs instead of most bibs you find in the store… seemed like store-bought were never big enough.)
- Fits both kiddos. Their product claims to fit ages 0-5. I haven’t tried it on a newborn, but this bib fits both my 14 month old and my 2.5 year old (who is probably the size of your average 3.5 year old).
Seriously. Part of the deal with this whole receiving-stuff-to-review-on-your-blog thing is you have to be honest. I thought it would sound more honest if I could come up with a dislike, but I can’t. Plus I wouldn’t to recommend something crappy only to have you buy it and be all like, “ugh. i am never reading that blog again! she is a fraud!!!” 🙂
So far, we’ve used this 3 pack for almost a month and have no complaints. I’ll update if we find any!
Update: several months later, we still LOVE these. They wash well in the sink or washing machine. All stains have come out with a little dish soap or shout. Super durable and still water proof. Toppy Toddler for the win. I highly recommend these still!!
If you’re in the market for bibs, I’d recommend these Toppy Toddler Waterproof Bibs*. Otherwise, just feed your baby naked. That works too.
oh, p.s. Here’s a before and after. Emma ate tomatoes in this bib. I hand-washed it with a tiny bit of dish-soap and hung it up to dry.
