Alright, y’all. Christmas is 5 days away. If you have gifts left to buy, no shame and no fear. Thanks to Amazon prime, you have many more days, okay 1 or 2, to get er done.
And because 1.) i LOVE buying gifts for people and 2.) we are getting out of debt and did very little christmas shopping this year, I created an awesome gift idea list for everyone and every budget so that I can vicariously shop for your people through you. Yay!
Seriously, Ben came home from work the other day and was like, “I grabbed these 3 angel tree kids left from work because the deadline is tomorrow and they were still left. One is for us and 2 are for other people, but I told them you wouldn’t mind picking up the gifts for them.”
I was on my way to Target before he finished his sentence, and had so much fun buying gifts for those kids!
Okay, so I’m going to attempt to cover anybody and everybody here, along with a ton of different price points. Because the last minute Christmas craze is real, and I definitely DO NOT WANT YOU TO BLOW YOUR BUDGET. So, in no particular order, here we go.
2015 Last Minute Christmas Gift Guide!
This Rose Gold watch on sale for $15 at Target.
these cool Nike socks would be perfect for the teenage athlete on your list! there are like several colors in all sizes. I hear neon is all the rage.
Shoes on the cheaper side from Target. I like to get ones that are trendy there since they go out of style fast. I usually get a couple years’ use out of them (at least!) I bought the cozy bottom pair this year and 2 months later (after wearing them every day) they still look great.
(Click each picture above to be taken to Target to order or click here to browse other Target gifts.)
Mini Paper Lantern Twinkle Lights – oh Target, you’ve done it again. I would have loved these in junior high/ high school. Or college, actually. (Actually I kind of want them now! Maybe outside?)
How cool are these!? Erasable markers! You better believe I was the color-coded-note-taking-nerd in high school and college (shocker). Totally love these & kind of want them for my planner now.
I’m a huge fan of the plaid trend. Giant scarves also from Target, and on sale for $14.95 🙂
Last year, I got a huge memory card in my stocking and it was SUCH a good gift. Seriously, the DSLR lover in your life would love this. (This 32 GB stores approx. 10,000 photos. So, that’s enough.)
Speaking of DSLR, the canon SL1 is a really good “entry level DSLR.” It’s on sale for $500 on Amazon right now, which is a pretty good price. I wrote more about camera equipment recommendations in this post, but in summary: this would be a good option for someone who wants to get into photography, or is already into photography and wants an upgrade.
Someone recently asked my opinion on beginner sewing machines. After tons of research, if I was buying one for someone, I would buy one of these 3. The far left one is GREAT for beginners and is on a special deal for $100 right now on Amazon. Middle one is a good beginner computerized one, for around $160 and the far right one is a level up, priced at $322.
My mom gave me a sewing machine 4 Christmases ago and it was one of the best gifts ever. She spent a weekend with me, teaching me how to sew, and I haven’t looked back. Seriously, I’m so so grateful she gave me that! This is an awesome gift, especially for someone who has wanted to learn to sew but not yet taken the plunge.
anthro mugs. can you go wrong there? no, no you cannot. i can’t choose a favorite. there are too many. (i have a weird thing about pretty mugs.)
while we’re on a mug/coffee/tea kick, these single-brew coffee makers would probably be good for the solo coffee drinker in the house. i recently stopped drinking coffee (yes, it’s true, we can talk more about it later), and i’d be contemplating one of these for ben (his dream) but we’re not allowed to buy each other gifts. maybe next year. The one on the left from Target is highly rated, works with any brand of cup, and is $119. Win! The one on the right uses regular coffee grounds, is only $50 and is turquoise. I favor Turquoise, but I can tell you that my other half would favor the easy individual cup situation 🙂
For the gadget lover in your life, these are nice… especially if the gadget lover or spouse hates cords and chargers everywhere (ahem, me).
For the extreme gadget lover in your life (ahem, my husband) who uses a high powered laptop but has 2 separate monitors to work on (because, can you really code with one monitor?), s/he might enjoy a docking station.
anything from Pen & Paint. I love her art. (Regular shipping by Dec 19 and Priority Mail by Dec 21 to receive by the 24th.)
wallet/phone case – so cool. A friend of mine gave this to her husband and he really liked it. Slim, high quality, holds everything.
For the music-creator-rap-writer in your life. My 14 year old brother-in-law is super into mixing and creating music. He LOVES Logic Pro.
And headphones to go with.
For the parent of teens, or a small person with their own device. You can monitor time limits, internet access, bedtime, computers, phones, tablets, everything. So Cool. Way to Go Circle/ Disney.
This universal keyboard works with apple, android, and windows devices.
Because everything she’s ever made is amazing. Seriously. No recipe of hers has failed me. Cookbook.
A few ideas for the momma to be…
These magnetic baby jams are AMAZING. One of my favorite baby gifts ever. They are so soft. And you can’t beat how easy magnetic closures are. They’re awesome. Tons of boy, girl, and neutral patterns to choose from too. Poppy Flowers; Boy City, Neutral Diamond
Some books I like: In the Garden of Beasts, Devil in the White City, The Pursuit of God, Mere Christianity, The Weight of Glory, For the Love, Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full, The Total Money Makeover, The Millionaire Next Door, Love Does, No Compromise, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, The Power of a Praying Parent (there are other versions: Wife, Husband, etc…), The Giver, Teach Like Your Hair’s on Fire, Teaching to Change Lives, How Google Works, John Grisham (my guilty pleasure).
3 year old toys: Smelly Markers, 24-48 piece jumbo puzzles, play food, shopping cart, tent, transitional bike (we don’t have a 3 year old until next week 🙂 so these are just guesses! although, our almost-3-year-old loves her jumbo puzzles and playing grocery store.)
Whew. There are a few ideas. Order by today, y’all! Happy Shopping 🙂
